It is a material composed of very fine glass filaments which are highly flexible and not rigid. When added to polyester resin it becomes a compound popularly known as glass fibre.
It has high tensile, flexural and impact strengths and is widely used in structural applications. It allows great design flexibility, making it possible to mould complex parts, large or small, without seams and with great functional and aesthetic value.
It does not rust and is exceptionally resistant to highly aggressive conventional materials. It can be produced in simple, inexpensive moulds, making it possible to market large, complex parts with low production volumes.
